Let's hear it for Ted's African Violet - grown way up north in Canada's Yukon!

I must say, his are spectacular – and I’ll give him this: Those explosions of flowers outdo mine, for sure.

In fact, they’re right up there with the prettiest I’ve ever seen.

Of course, Ted’s been pampering his beauty for 10 years. Mine is a just a baby still in its in diapers – about 2.

Huge violet's taking over my house

Alachua, FL – My name is sage and this is the biggest African violent I’ve ever seen. 

Not to brag, but i grew it from a cutting.

The thing is, I’ve grown hundreds from cuttings.

And I grew them in the same spot in my house, using the same watering and feeding techniques.

But no other violet has grown to much more than half this size.

How about you? Do you grow violets this big?

If so, how do you manage it – and where do you grow them?
